Sampling and Formulating a Treatment Plan
For every customer, the first step in our process involves sampling and testing your fuel supply. This allows us to tailor a custom solution that addresses whatever specific challenges you may face. Further, sampling and testing allow us to establish a benchmark against which we, and you, can measure our success.

Our testing service includes fuel sampling and field analysis. Unlike our competition, we can test your fuel on-site and provide you with the information you need on the spot. Once we’ve completed this first step, we can move forward with a treatment plan designed specifically for you.
Bottom Sweep/Fuel Filtration/Storage Tank: Remote Access Technology to remove Sludge
Our Remote Access Technology (RAT) system allows the bottom of the tanks to get completely clean, removing heavy sludge and contaminants from any Type of Fuel Storage Tanks. Our specialized equipment is designed to complete the fuel polishing at a flow rate of 6,000 gallons per hour reducing the time on site and permitting operations to be back to normal within a few hours.
Filtratech RAT and step-down filtration from 25 to 2-micron technology will return the fuel and the tank to a pristine condition and most importantly meeting ASTM-D975 or ISO4406 standards. See chart below:

Biocide
When microbial contamination has infiltrated your fuel supply, the judicious use of biocide is recommended.
When these organisms die off, they create catastrophic particulate problems within the tank, thus; treatment with biocide must be followed with a thorough tank cleaning and fuel filtration.

Phase Separation
Phase separation occurs when water contaminates the gasoline, causing the ethanol to attach itself to the water molecules, leaving two distinct layers in the storage tank, a gasoline-only layer at the top and an ethanol/water along the bottom.
The ultimate cause of phase separation is water infiltration, and the short answer is to keep water out of the tank. The long answer is a rigorous housekeeping schedule and vigilant monitoring of your tank and its access points to ensure they are properly sealed. At Filtratech we can inspect your tank and make recommendations for possible issues of water infiltration.
